Graduate Student Travel Grants

Five travel grants of $100 each will be available to support graduate student participation in this conference. They will cover the cost of the hotel room at the special workshop rate ($88 including taxes) and $12 toward dinner on your own on Tuesday, August 9. 

Breakfast is included with your hotel room, and lunch will be provided at the workshop.  There is no registration fee.

You will need to provide:

  • Your name
  • Affiliation (department and program; university):
  • Complete contact information:
    • Email Address
    • Phone number (preferably mobile)
    • Postal address
  • Citizenship, and if not U.S., your immigration status (needed for reimbursements)
  • A brief statement (1-2 paragraphs) explaining your research interests and why you would like to attend this conference.

You will be notified by mid-May whether you are under consideration for an award. 

To finalize an award, you will need to provide a signed note on department letterhead from your adviser verifying that you are a graduate student in good standing.

To receive your reimbursement after travel is complete, you will need to supply a copy of your signed grant award letter, conference agenda, mailing address, original paid hotel invoice, and any itemized meal receipts to Ms. Erica Balco, Coordinator, Office of Interdisciplinary Programs, Suite 101 Williams Hall, telephone 610-758-3996 / email erb612@lehigh.edu.  Lehigh’s Accounts Payable office will issue a check within 10 working days of receipt of the above information and mail it to address provided. If you are an international citizen, please also send a copy of your passport and I-94 entry stamp.
